Update: New drummer for Holyfilth, band on 2-month hiatus

Holyfilth, the best thing to come out of Bangor since buttery flaky crust, gave us a scare this morning when the band hinted at a breakup on its Facebook page.

Turns out, however, the band is just taking a two-month hiatus while it woodsheds material with a new drummer.

Holyfilth’s most recent drummer, Ethan Henderson,  “got a job on the Carnival Cruise Line doing video technician stuff,” said guitarist/singer Ryan Curry. The new drummer, Jay, was the “easiest choice,” because he’s been playing with Curry “forever.”

The band’s next appearance is with Seax, Sept. 1 in Worcester, Masachusetts.

Holyfilth drummer Ethan Henderson at Mathew's 3rd annual Roof Party earlier this month. Henderson is leaving the band.
