Post Mortem

A photographic account of heavy music in Portland, Maine

PHOTOS: Murcielago and We’re All Gonna Die

Amid the ruckus from Murcielago and three visiting bands Saturday at Geno’s stood a notable outlander.

Quietly wielding a camera from the wings and listening intently was JJ Koczan, the mastermind behind The Obelisk — a Massachusetts-based metal blog with a national scope. Koczan was in Portland to check out the final installment of We’re All Gonna Die’s three reunion shows. You can check out Koczan’s review here, which (we’d like to think) pairs well with our own postmortem below.

Check back here Tuesday for big news from Hessian HQ, plus pics from their performance Sunday at RPM Fest in western Massachusetts.

Full-resolution photos are here. If you borrow these images for Facebook or whatnot, please credit us. (Watermarking sucks and we don’t wanna do it.) Also, don’t crop or alter.

Despite all this, we’re not monsters.
