A photographic account of heavy music in Portland, Maine
There’s a long list of words we can’t spell correctly on the first try. No matter how old we get, and how many times we type them, we just can’t spell “graffiti,” “privilege” and “Erroraeon” without cheating.
So, after this week’s coverage, we’re declaring a small victory by scratching “diarrhea” off the list. We finally got it.
Last night, Diarrhea Planet and Jeff the Brotherhood invaded Port City Music Hall along with Portland’s Murcielago.
Seemingly all of Portland was in Worcester last night for King Diamond’s show, but we dutifully maintained our post here on the peninsula to bring you this dispatch.
Last night’s juggernaut of entertainment included a Rush-singing wizard, an impromptu 5150 walk and, at one point, five simultaneous guitars.
If these bands roll through town again, you must see them.
You will be entertained.
(Also, don’t forget … this is tonight.)
Full-resolution photos are here. If you borrow these images for Facebook or whatnot, please credit us. (Watermarking sucks and we don’t wanna do it.) Also, don’t crop or alter.
Yes, we’re becoming monsters.
