A photographic account of heavy music in Portland, Maine

PHOTOS: Covered in Bees’ video shoot for Troma

It’s in the can.

Last night at Geno’s, Covered in Bees wrapped a video shoot for “Troma Institute of Technology (TIT)” — a song that will be included in the forthcoming “Return to Nuke ‘Em High Volume 2,” Troma Entertainment’s latest love letter to New Jersey.

The performance-style video was shot in several sequences, beginning with the Bees dressed like dapper Honors Society students, then again as face-painted Cretins.

Next, world-class mugging and vamping ensued when a few dozen fans clamored around the stage for their closeup.

It’s tempting to say the fans stole the show, but it seems more accurate to say it was theirs for the taking. While it was Covered in Bees’ shot at a national spotlight, the event played more like a fan appreciation night, capped by a high-octane, request-style set.

A class act, these bees.

Catch them early next month when they open for Upper Crust, Nov. 7 at Geno’s.

Yes, we’re becoming monsters.
